Frequently Asked Questions

We do not, but here’s why!

  • We believe strongly that this allows us to work with even greater autonomy and creativity to bring you the care you need and deserve, rather than what insurance might dictate you may or may not need and deserve.
  • There are a lot of benefits by not working directly with insurance companies, which you can find below. However, some insurance companies will reimburse a certain percentage for out-of-network services and we are happy to provide the necessary form for you to submit. If you have HSA or FSA accounts, you can also contact your account provider to see if you are able to use these accounts for your services.
At Strive Healing, we believe patients deserve time, attention, and truly personalized care. As a member, you will typically have access to appointments as long as 60 minutes, and as short as 15-30 minutes based on your need.
Your initial visit is always 45–60 minutes and includes a detailed review of your symptoms, labs, medical history, and health goals. We’ll explore your expectations, talk through potential treatment options, and begin building a plan that aligns with your body, lifestyle, and long-term vision of wellness. If further testing is needed, we’ll discuss next steps and make sure you feel supported every step of the way.

Anyone experiencing symptoms of hormonal imbalance, such as fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, or mood changes, may benefit from BHRT. It is commonly recommended for women going through perimenopause or menopause and men experiencing low testosterone (andropause).

Important Information:

  • Candidates should undergo lab testing to assess hormone levels.
  • BHRT is suitable for both men and women experiencing hormone-related symptoms.
  • A thorough medical evaluation ensures safety and effectiveness.

BHRT helps alleviate symptoms of hormonal imbalance and provides additional health benefits, including improved energy, better mental clarity, enhanced sexual function, and long-term protection for bone and cardiovascular health.

Important Information:

  • Relieves symptoms like hot flashes, fatigue, and low libido.
  • Improves mood, focus, and overall well-being.
  • Supports better sleep, metabolism, and physical performance.

BHRT uses bio-identical hormones that are structurally identical to the hormones your body naturally produces. Traditional hormone therapy often uses synthetic or animal-derived hormones that may not be as compatible with your body.

Important Information:

  • Bio-identical hormones are plant-derived and tailored to match your body’s hormones.
  • BHRT typically results in fewer side effects and better overall tolerance.
  • Treatments are personalized based on your specific needs and lab results.

While BHRT is generally safe, some patients may experience mild side effects, such as bloating, nausea, or skin irritation (with creams or patches). Serious risks are rare and are minimized with proper monitoring and dosage adjustments.

Important Information:

  • Regular follow-ups and lab testing ensure safety.
  • Side effects are often temporary and subside as the body adjusts.
  • Your provider will carefully tailor your treatment plan to minimize risks.

Most patients begin noticing improvements within the first few weeks of starting BHRT, with significant symptom relief typically occurring after 2-3 months of consistent treatment. The timeline can vary based on individual needs and hormone levels.

Important Information:

  • Early benefits include improved energy and mood.
  • Long-term benefits include better sleep, metabolism, and overall well-being.
  • Ongoing adjustments may be made to optimize your treatment plan.
