Jen
I’ve known since childhood that I was meant to be a nurse. I was the kid who always asked “why” — endlessly curious about how the body worked and deeply drawn to helping others feel better. That passion never faded — it only grew stronger as I built my career in healthcare.
I began my career in healthcare working for my family’s ambulance business as a EMT. I became a Registered Nurse and worked Nursery and NICU, a job I adored. I knew I wanted to become a provider so I got my Master’s Degree as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner OB/GYN settings with a passion for infertility and postpartum depression/anxiety — experiences that further deepened my commitment to supporting women through all phases of life.
Outside of caring for patients, I enjoy life with my husband and our two children, who keep us on the go with their many sports and activities. I love a tropical beach getaway, spending a day on the golf course, and cheering on the Cubs whenever I get the chance. Whether it's traveling, making memories with family and friends, or simply enjoying the busy season of raising active kids, I cherish the moments that bring people together.
I’m a double board-certified Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health and Family Practice, with a long-standing focus on hormone and thyroid care. I earned my Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Cincinnati, and my Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Purdue Northwest. I have done many functional medicine courses over the years post degree and I’m also board certified in homeopathy.
Like many of my patients, I’ve faced my own health challenges — including autoimmune disease, thyroid dysfunction, fatigue, and burnout — and was often told that “everything looks fine.” It wasn’t until I discovered functional and integrative approaches that I began to truly heal.
Strive Healing was born from a place of purpose, and I’m passionate about continuing to grow this practice so I can help more people feel seen, supported, and empowered on their path to healing.
I’m a lifelong learner who loves a challenge, and I believe every patient deserves a provider who listens, asks the right questions, and treats them like a whole person — not a list of symptoms. My mission is to help you regain your energy, balance, and confidence — and start living fully again.
After more than two decades in nursing, I’ve seen what’s possible when patients are truly heard and supported — and I feel like I’m just getting started. This work continues to inspire me every day.
